Man Takes His Own Life Allegedly Due to Relationship Problems

A man allegedly committed suicide over relationship issues in Barangay Solotsolot, San Juan, Ilocos Sur.

According to PLT. Reynal Ramos, Officer-in-Charge of the San Juan Police Station, the victim sent a message to his girlfriend before taking his own life.

The message, which included a photo of a hanging rope noose, was discovered in their conversation on Messenger.

Ramos added that the victim’s family had no knowledge of the exact problem that led him to commit the act.

The victim’s mother revealed that she last saw her son busy on his cellphone around 11:45 p.m. when she told him to go to bed.

When the mother went to check on him later, she found him hanging by a rope tied around his neck.

Authorities reminded parents to pay attention to their children’s emotional struggles and to maintain open communication with them.
