According to Escudero, PhilHealth has over P500 billion in reserve funds, making the proposal possible.

Ledesma explained that they are now waiting for the Senate to pass the proposed amendments to the Universal Health Care Law.

The bill aims to reduce the mandatory contribution rate for PhilHealth members to 3.25%.

Ledesma assured that PhilHealth is ready to implement the reduction once the proposal is approved
