The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has officially canceled the Philippine passport of dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.

In a statement, the DFA confirmed that the cancellation took effect on September 30, following a biometric match with a Chinese passport holder, Guo Hua Ping, identified in the National Bureau of Investigation’s files.

Previously, Malacañang ordered the cancellation of Guo’s passport, along with those of her siblings, Wesley, Shiela, and Cassy Ong, linked to a raid on a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Porac, Pampanga.

The siblings reportedly fled the Philippines in July.

The DFA has pledged to uphold the security and integrity of Philippine passport issuance, assuring the public that any illegal passport applications will be referred to law enforcement and prosecution.

The agency also stated it will enforce a Zero Tolerance Policy against individuals seeking passports through unscrupulous means.
