Fatal Accident in Isabela as Rider Collides with Passenger Bus

A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision with a passenger bus in Cabagan, Isabela.

The victim has been identified as Lomido Talosig, 62, unemployed and a resident of Caniogan Alto, Santo Tomas, Isabela, while the bus involved was a Florida Transport driven by Fortunato Massigan, 41, married, and a resident of Liwanag, Tumauini, Isabela.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo Cauayan, PLt. Natividad Tumabat, Operations Officer of Cabagan Police Station, said Talosig was on his way home when he collided head-on with a bus heading to Manila.

According to their investigation, the motorcycle rider veered into the lane of the oncoming bus, causing the accident.

Police reported that Talosig was intoxicated at the time of the incident and was not wearing a helmet.

The head-on collision left Talosig with severe injuries, and he was rushed to Milagros District Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival by his attending physician.
