Nearly P7M Worth of Shabu Seized from Rider in Libertad Sports Complex

BUTUAN CITY — Authorities confiscated nearly P7 million worth of suspected shabu during a drug buy-bust operation at the Libertad Sports Complex in Butuan City.

The operation, conducted at around 9:38 PM, resulted in the arrest of Emman Roy Cabahug-Basa, a 38-year-old high-value individual and courier rider from Purok 8, Barangay Ambago.

Seventeen sealed sachets of suspected shabu were recovered during the operation, including the buy-bust item, along with a cellphone, two marked P1,000 bills, 88 counterfeit bills of the same denomination, drug paraphernalia, and a backpack.

The seized illegal drugs weighed approximately one kilo and 20 grams, with an estimated street value of P6,936,000.

The Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-13 is currently holding the suspect and the confiscated items.
