White House National Security Council Advisor Jake Sullivan stated that the US is assisting the Israeli military in intercepting Iranian missiles.

Biden has ordered the deployment of US naval destroyers to support Israeli air-defense units in their efforts to counter the missile attacks.

Iran has fired at least 200 missiles at Israel, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claiming the strikes are retaliation for casualties in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the deaths of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan.

According to Pentagon Press Secretary Brig. General Patrick Ryder, the US is maintaining a close watch on the situation in Israel.
