Tricycle Driver Killed in Collision with Passenger Bus

A tricycle driver was declared dead on arrival after a passenger bus collided with his motorcycle in Pagbilao, Quezon.

The victim, identified as Elmer Nataño Lobusta, 56, a resident of Brgy. Ikirin in the same town, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

According to initial reports from the Quezon Police Provincial Office, the incident occurred on the National Highway in Sitio Highway, Brgy. Pinagbayanan.

The bus, driven by Ricky (last name undisclosed), was traveling southbound towards Bicol when it accidentally collided with Lobusta’s motorcycle, which had a sidecar and was heading northbound towards Manila.

The crash took place on a curved uphill section of the road.

Authorities revealed that both vehicles sustained damage due to the collision.

Lobusta was immediately rushed to the hospital with multiple injuries but was pronounced dead on arrival by medical personnel.

The bus driver is currently in police custody as authorities continue their investigation and determine the appropriate charges.
