In an interview, Cayco revealed that a total of 2,463 homes were affected, with 60% completely destroyed and 40% partially damaged.

She explained that the extent of the damage was due to the materials used in constructing the homes, as many newer houses were built with light materials.

Additionally, Batanes General Hospital was also damaged, and the province’s power and water supply were disrupted by the storm.

Several residents were reported injured, but there were no fatalities.
