Bombo Radyo Philippines proudly reaffirms its commitment to promoting voluntary blood donation through its nationwide program, “Dugong Bombo,” set on November 16, 2024, in 24 key cities where its 31 fully digitalized Bombo Radyo and Star FM stations operate.

In 2023, Bombo Radyo successfully collected 2,502,450 CC of blood — equivalent to 2,502.45 liters, 661.08 gallons, or 12.02 drums — helping replenish the country’s blood supply. Since its inception over a decade ago, Dugong Bombo has contributed an average of 18 drums of blood annually to the Philippine Red Cross.

The “Dugong Bombo” campaign has earned nationwide recognition from the Philippine Red Cross for its remarkable impact, being dubbed the “bloodiest” single-day blood donation program. As Bombo Radyo celebrates its 58th anniversary in 2024, the re-launch of this initiative underscores the Network’s unwavering commitment to saving lives.

The upcoming blood donation on November 16 is more than just a simple act — it’s a chance to be a hero. By donating blood, you have the power to save lives. There is no substitute for blood, and your contribution could be the lifeline someone desperately needs during a medical emergency. Whether you’re an ordinary citizen or not, your generosity can make a real difference and change lives forever.

All successful blood donors will receive a free Dugong Bombo t-shirt, snacks, drinks, hot meals, and vitamins.
