Billie Eilish has unveiled the official music video for her global hit “Birds of a Feather,” from her third studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft.
This comes just days before the launch of her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour which kicked off on Sunday, September 29.
Directed by Aidan Zamiri, the video comes on the heels of numerous accolades for the critically acclaimed, double RIAA platinum-certified single. “Birds of a Feather” has spent three consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Global Charts. It has also topped the Billboard Pop Airplay Chart and the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Chart, earning Eilish the record for the most No. 1s on the latter chart as a solo artist.
Additionally, she remains the most-streamed female artist globally on Spotify.
Eilish made a show-stopping debut for the North American leg of Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour on Sunday, in Quebec, Canada, followed by a nationwide run, including three sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
In line with her continued environmental advocacy, the multiple-Grammy and Academy Award-winning artist also shared the tour’s sustainability plan aimed at reducing its carbon footprint. Hit Me Hard and Soft, now RIAA platinum-certified, has amassed over 4.7 billion streams globally and reached No. 1 in 25 countries. In its first week, the album surpassed the sales of Eilish’s previous releases, with 339,000 units sold and 90,000 vinyl copies in the U.S., marking her biggest career debut.
Eilish is also the youngest and one of only two artists in the past eight years to sell over 300,000 units in the first week. She became the first female solo artist to have three songs—“Lunch,” “Chihiro,” and “Birds of a Feather”—surpassing 8 million daily streams on Spotify’s Global Chart in their first week.
