BUTUAN CITY – The mother of Carmila Enero, the woman who was fatally stabbed in Barangay Pinamanculan, Butuan City, is calling for the perpetrator, Joshua Cadiz, who was also her daughter’s live-in partner, to be imprisoned for life.

According to Carmilita Enero, she deeply loved her daughter.

Despite her and her husband’s old age and her husband’s stroke condition, they continued to work hard to provide for their children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Enero recounted that her daughter, along with her two children, was staying at their house the night of the crime because Cadiz was drunk and had vomited.

However, when Cadiz sobered up, he chased after his wife.

To avoid further trouble, Mrs. Enero allowed her daughter to return home with him.

It was there that Cadiz committed the brutal crime in front of their children.

Mrs. Enero also expressed deep disappointment in their neighbors, who, despite witnessing the violent scene, did not offer any help as the family struggled amid the bloodshed.
