In an interview with Bombo Radyo, PCapt. Jersey Besas, head of the Pototan Municipal Police Station, stated that the victim was found by a man who was working in the field.

According to Besas, it is likely that the elderly man fell into a water-filled area of the field after slipping off an improvised bridge.

Witnesses who knew the victim reported that he often returned home intoxicated.

The family, however, is convinced that there was no foul play involved in the man’s death.
