The head of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, is prioritizing the pursuit of individuals wanted by the law.

Among those targeted is former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, who faces an arrest order from the House of Representatives for his refusal to cooperate in the legislative investigation on Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).

Also on the list is former Bureau of Corrections chief Gerald Bantag, who is facing murder charges in connection with the death of broadcaster Percy Lapid.

While awaiting formal directives from Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil regarding Roque’s arrest, Torre assured the public of his readiness to pursue both the former government officials and other individuals wanted by law.

Torre had previously stated his willingness to search for fugitives, even if they go into hiding, as was done in the manhunt for Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy.
