Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2024 Jasmin Bungay is ready to make waves for the Philippines in the upcoming The Miss Globe 2024 pageant happening in Albania on October.
The 26-year-old Kapampangan beauty queen has finally arrived in the European country last night, September 24, to participate in the activities of the international pageant.
Bungay is a former OFW, who worked for five years in Dubai. The beauty queen was also once a teacher with a Mathematics degree.
A few weeks before flying to Albania, 102.7 Star FM Manila was given a chance to chat with the Binibini, and Jasmin was indeed happy and proud to be given the opportunity to represent the country.
Although she is not new to socializing with other cultures, Bungay is still ecstatic about the experience of participating in The Miss Globe, as she knows that she will meet a lot of people and learn a lot in the process.
Jasmin also addressed the “pressure” that people expect her to feel since two Pinay beauty queens were already able to take home the crown, first with Ann Colis in 2015, and most recently, Maureen Montagne in 2021.
Meanwhile, her predecessor Anna Lakrini ended up as second runner-up at The Miss Globe 2023.
“More than the pressure, it’s the thought that these girls were able to do it with the backing of Binibining Pilipinas, and with the Filipino people, that I also have at the moment. So there’s no reason for me not to be able to do that. More than the pressure, it’s like some sort of assurance na they were able to have those victories. I have the same support, I have the same backing, so I can do it, too.”
She also shares some of the most valuable lessons she has learned in her journey as a beauty queen.
“You will face a lot of rejections. You will face a lot of redirections. If your dreams mean more to you than all of those, then hold on to it.”
The Pinay beauty queen will vie to win the country’s third crown at The Miss Globe pageant that will take place in Tirana, Albania on October 16 (Philippine time).
