Former sexy actress Aya Medel, whose real name is Rechie Hayakawa, disclosed on her social media account that she recently survived a brain aneurysm.

Medel shared a photo of herself hospitalized at Cardinal Santos Hospital in San Juan City, explaining why she had been inactive online.

She revealed that she is among many survivors of this life-threatening condition.

The actress expressed her gratitude to her family, medical staff, and loyal patrons of her restaurant for their unwavering support during her recovery.

However, she chose not to share further details about her hospitalization or the length of her recovery period.

According to the U.S. National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, a brain aneurysm occurs when an artery in the brain enlarges due to pressure on the vessel walls, which can lead to hemorrhagic stroke, coma, or even death.
