Student Dies in Motorcycle Collision with Kulong-Kulong

CAUAYAN CITY – A student lost his life after being involved in a vehicular accident on the Alicia-San Mateo Road in Barangay Salvacion, Alicia, Isabela.

Based on information gathered by Bombo Radyo Cauayan, the accident involved a kulong-kulong (a motorized tricycle) driven by James Paul Agustin, 27, a married fish vendor and resident of Purok 4, Barangay Villaflor, San Isidro, Isabela, and a motorcycle driven by Regie Bergonio, 20, a student and resident of Barangay Mataas na Kahoy, Alicia, Isabela.

Initial investigations by the Alicia Police Station revealed that both vehicles were traveling toward San Mateo, Isabela, with the motorcycle following the kulong-kulong.

The motorcycle reportedly collided with the rear of the kulong-kulong upon reaching the scene of the incident.

The impact of the collision caused severe injuries to both drivers.

They were rushed to the hospital, but Bergonio was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

The Alicia Police Station is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
