Php1 Million Worth of Marijuana and Shabu Seized in Sarangani Drug Bust

Sarangani Province – Authorities seized Php1,000,000 worth of marijuana and shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Alabel Municipal Police Station on September 20, 2024, in Purok Progressive, Barangay Maribulan, Alabel, Sarangani Province.

The suspect, identified as “Can,” a 42-year-old driver-operator, was arrested during the operation.

He is a resident of Purok Progressive, Barangay Maribulan, Alabel, Sarangani.

According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Santos Delantein, Chief of Alabel Municipal Police Station, the operation took place at around 3:15 PM, involving officers from the Alabel MPS MDEU, PDEU, SPPO, PDEA XII Regional Enforcement Team, and other law enforcement units.

Recovered from the suspect were 1 gram of suspected shabu, valued at Php6,800, five pieces of suspected dried marijuana bricks weighing 5 kilograms, with an estimated street value of Php1,000,000, and a Php500 bill placed on top of Php4,500 boodle money used in the buy-bust operation.

The suspect is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
