Motorcyclists Die in Collision with Parked Backhoe on Alilem-Bakun Road

Ilocos Sur – Two motorcyclists were declared dead on arrival after their motorcycle collided with a parked backhoe along Alilem-Bakun Road, Sitio Macdaar, Barangay Alilem Daya, Alilem, Ilocos Sur.

The black Rusi 150 motorcycle was being driven by 18-year-old Gabriel Orael Pias, with 23-year-old Banz Cayat Balang as the passenger, both residents of Barangay Amilongan, Alilem. Neither of them were wearing helmets.

The motorcycle was reportedly speeding towards the highlands when the driver lost control, causing it to crash into a backhoe parked on the roadside for a construction project.

The two riders sustained severe head injuries and multiple body traumas. Although they were rushed to the hospital, both were pronounced dead.
