Cauayan City – The temporary return of BRP Teresa Magbanua to Palawan, following persistent harassment from China, is not a sign of surrender, according to the International Development and Security Cooperation (IDSC).

Dr. Chester Cabalza, President of IDSC, emphasized in an interview with Bombo Radyo Cauayan that the withdrawal from Escoda Shoal is only temporary.

He added that the Philippines is now awaiting which vessel will replace BRP Magbanua, especially since China’s actions are closely monitoring the movements of Philippine ships.

Despite the ongoing tensions, Dr. Cabalza stressed the importance of diplomatic discussions between China and the Philippines to ease the escalating situation in the West Philippine Sea.

It’s worth noting that many countries have expressed their support for the Philippines and condemned China’s aggressive territorial claims.
