Both individuals are now facing charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention in relation to Camilon’s disappearance last year.

Previously, charges against the duo were dismissed on May 15 due to insufficient evidence. However, similar charges have been re-filed in the Batangas Regional Trial Court.

De Castro had previously been held in contempt during a Senate hearing and was detained for two days before being released.

Investigations revealed that de Castro had a relationship with the victim and was the last person seen with her before she went missing.
