Several victims of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) Pastor Apollo Quiboloy have been placed under the Witness Protection Program (WPP) of the Department of Justice (DOJ), according to House Appropriations Committee Vice-Chairman and Ako Bicol partylist Representative Jil Bongalon.

During a budget hearing for the DOJ, Gabriela partylist Representative Arlene Brosas raised concerns about the victims’ status and their inclusion in the WPP.

Bongalon, acting as the budget sponsor, confirmed that nearly half of Quiboloy’s victims are already under the program, with more expected to be included.

Reports from the DOJ reveal that Quiboloy, currently incarcerated, is facing two child abuse cases and one human trafficking case.

Bongalon added that if the United States requests Quiboloy’s extradition for the cases he faces there, the Philippines will comply.

However, the DOJ will prioritize resolving his cases within the country before any extradition.

The DOJ also clarified that it cannot provide a definitive timeline for the resolution of the cases, as the process may change if more complainants come forward.
