The non-bailable human trafficking cases filed against employees of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hubs in Tarlac have been transferred from the Capas, Tarlac Regional Trial Court to a Pasig City court, as confirmed by Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla.

Secretary Remulla commended the Supreme Court for its unwavering commitment to upholding the law and preventing any miscarriage of justice. He also assured that the Department of Justice (DOJ) will prosecute these cases with determination and integrity.

The involved POGO workers are from Zun Yuan Technology Inc., one of the POGO hubs raided in Bamban, Tarlac, where several foreign nationals were arrested.

Among those implicated is Huang Zhiyang, a Chinese national identified by authorities as the “boss of all bosses” of illegal POGO operations.

The cases against the POGO employees were filed by the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission in June. Separate charges of qualified trafficking in persons were also filed against dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo.
