According to PCol. Harry Domingo, provincial director of the Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office, charges were filed in the Bislig City court against Police Master Sergeant (PMSg) Kinneth Viola Cacho, 37, a married resident of Barangay Poblacion, Cateel, Davao Oriental, who was assigned to the Davao Oriental Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.

Authorities are committed to assisting the victims’ families in seeking justice, especially after it was discovered that Cacho’s anger towards one of the victims, with whom he had a past relationship, allegedly drove him to commit the crime.

It was reported that the victim had begun accepting suitors after their breakup, which allegedly enraged the suspect.
