The BRP Teresa Magbanua has returned home after successfully completing a five-month mission at Escoda Shoal, the National Maritime Council Chairperson, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, announced.

The vessel, part of the Philippine Coast Guard fleet, faced multiple challenges, including being encircled by a larger group of foreign vessels and enduring harsh weather conditions.

Despite these adversities and limited supplies, the crew upheld their duty, representing the resilience of the Coast Guard.

The ship’s repositioning will allow for essential repairs, medical checkups for the crew, and a well-deserved reunion with their families.
