P2.5M Worth of Damage Reported in Tondo Fire – BFP

Over P2.5 million in damages were recorded following a fire that broke out in a residential area on Road 10, Barangay 105, Tondo, Manila, yesterday afternoon.

The fire affected approximately 1,000 families, leaving many homeless.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), nine establishments were burned, with the fire originating from a single unit.

The blaze quickly spread, escalating to a fifth alarm and lasting nearly two hours.

By 1:33 p.m., the fire was raised to Task Force Bravo.

Around 40 fire trucks and hundreds of firefighters were deployed to extinguish the flames. The fire was declared under control by 6:20 p.m.

BFP reported that seven individuals sustained minor injuries during the incident.
