Quiboloy’s Legal Team Files Motion to Keep Co-Accused in PNP Custody

A motion for reconsideration was filed today by the legal team of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy at the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 159, requesting that his four co-accused—Jackielyn Roy, Cresente Canada, Ingrid Canada, and Sylvia Cemañes—remain in the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

During an ambush interview, Atty. Mark Tolentino, Quiboloy’s lawyer, stated that the pastor might suffer from isolation if left alone in the custodial facility.

According to Tolentino, the group of five is still able to communicate by shouting across rooms to check on each other.

This, he said, is their only way to avoid boredom, as Quiboloy is reportedly not allowed to play even religious songs.

Earlier, it was announced that the Pasig RTC had decided to transfer Quiboloy’s four co-accused to the Pasig City Jail. Quiboloy, however, will remain in the PNP custodial center alone while his motion for hospital arrest, due to health concerns, is still pending.

A medical check-up is expected to be conducted by government doctors, as ordered by the court, to assess Quiboloy’s current medical condition.
