Alice Guo, also known as Guo Hua Ping, faced stern reprimands from Senate Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada and Senator Risa Hontiveros during an ongoing Senate hearing.

Estrada expressed frustration with Guo for continuously refusing to answer questions regarding her escape from the Philippines.

Guo initially stated that she and her companions fled the country aboard a white yacht. However, when asked about the yacht’s owner, she claimed not to know.

Senator Ronald dela Rosa pressed Guo to reveal who helped them board the yacht, but she declined, citing fears for her safety.

Guo was then instructed to write the name of the person on paper, which she agreed to do on the condition that the name would not be disclosed to the public for her protection.

Senator Estrada later disclosed that the person named by Guo possesses five passports and is currently in Taiwan. Guo admitted that this individual had facilitated her escape from the country.

She recounted that they boarded the yacht at a port in Metro Manila, later transferring to a larger ship where they were confined to a small room for three to four days. Afterward, they took a small boat to Malaysia.

Guo insisted that no government officials or Filipinos were involved in their escape and that she had not paid anyone for assistance.

She also mentioned that her relationship with the person who helped her had since soured, though she refused to elaborate on the reasons. Additionally, Guo revealed that this individual, along with a Filipino, had threatened her life.
