Dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo has denied any assistance from government officials or Filipino nationals in her escape from the Philippines.

The denial was made during a Senate hearing, led by Senators Risa Hontiveros and Jinggoy Estrada, where Guo was questioned regarding who aided her departure from the country.

Guo recounted that she, along with Shiela and Wesley Guo, fled the Philippines aboard a yacht.

The group initially boarded from a Manila port just before 10 p.m. and, after several hours, transferred to a larger vessel.

They reportedly spent three to five days on the larger ship, remaining confined to a single room.

Guo did not publicly reveal the yacht owner’s identity but provided a written name upon the senators’ request. It was revealed that a Chinese national facilitated the escape in July.

Despite Guo’s insistence that no Filipino helped them flee, Senator Estrada expressed disbelief, stating that it was improbable.

Meanwhile, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian emphasized the importance of prosecuting those involved in assisting Guo’s escape and in establishing POGO hubs, which are allegedly linked to her case.

Seven cases have already been filed against Guo, with Gatchalian describing the situation as one of the deepest and most severe criminal involvements.

Guo remains detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center while the Senate Committee petitions the Court and the Ombudsman for her transfer to Senate custody.

However, Senator Estrada has warned that once under Senate custody, Guo will be transferred to Pasay City Jail.
