MPTC’s security team was able to swiftly identify and resolve the issue. The company believes that unauthorized access to some user accounts may have occurred, leading to the compromise of certain balances.

In a statement, MPTC assured customers that measures have been put in place to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

The company operates several major tollways in the country, including the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), and Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX).
