Previously, Atty. David had insisted that Guo was still in the Philippines until it was revealed that she had been arrested by Indonesian police and returned to the country.

David further explained that Guo believed disclosing her address would only increase the risk of being tracked by those threatening her life.

The lawyer reiterated that Guo had previously expressed her intention to surrender to authorities before Indonesian police apprehended her. However, her fear for her safety prevented her from doing so.

Atty. David spoke with his client upon her return to the Philippines early Friday morning.
