Davao Mayor Baste Duterte Expresses Concern Over Heavy Police Presence at KOJC Compound

Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte expressed concern over the ongoing heavy police presence in Buhangin, Davao City, particularly at the compound of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).

The mayor stated that the continued deployment of police personnel has caused unease and fear among KOJC members and nearby residents.

Duterte emphasized that while the police are meant to provide security, their prolonged presence has instead instilled anxiety.

He called for an explanation regarding the alleged excessive use of police force when serving arrest warrants for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and other accused individuals.

It was reported that 13 days have passed since police forces were stationed in the area where the accused religious leader is believed to be hiding.
