PNP Spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo confirmed that Guo was escorted by the Headquarters Support Service earlier this morning.

It was recalled that a warrant of arrest was issued by Capas RTC Branch 109 against Guo for violations of Section 3 (e) and (h) of Republic Act 3019, also known as the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

Fajardo explained that the transfer of Guo to Tarlac was a standard procedure, and she will be returned to the PNP custodial facility at Camp Crame unless a commitment order is issued by the court.

Meanwhile, Fajardo emphasized that the Senate must secure permission from the court if they wish for Guo to attend their hearings again.

However, the PNP spokesperson assured that the Senate’s arrest order against Guo will remain valid, even if she posts bail, as it would place her under Senate custody.

In a related development, Senator Risa Hontiveros questioned Guo’s transfer to Tarlac. Hontiveros stressed that Guo should have been brought to the Senate, as they were the first to issue an arrest warrant after Guo failed to attend hearings regarding her alleged involvement with the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator in Bamban.
