6 Police Officers test positive for drugs, 2 involved in drug trafficking

DURING the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, PBGen Leon Victor Rosete, the director of PRO-Davao, disclosed that seven of their personnel had tested positive for illegal drug use and were involved in activities related to drug trafficking.

This information was part of the results of the latest internal cleansing program, which is a regular initiative mandated by the Philippine National Police (PNP) National Headquarters to ensure the integrity of its officers.

According to PBGen Rosete, six of the officers tested positive for drug use, while two others were found to have participated in drug trafficking activities.

This disclosure highlights the ongoing efforts within the police force to address issues of corruption and illegal activities that undermine the trust and safety of the community.

PBGen Rosete emphasized that the internal cleansing program is crucial to maintaining the good reputation and image of the police force, not only within the Davao region but also throughout the country.

The program aims to ensure that officers remain committed to their duty of serving the public with integrity and professionalism.
