The BOC had initially expected ₱103,865,125.97 if all seven vehicles were sold.

The remaining four vehicles, Toyota Tundra (2022), Toyota Sequoia (2023), Rolls-Royce Cullinan (2023), and Bentley Bentayga (2022), received no bids and were declared failed auctions.

An inspection of all seven vehicles was held earlier at Manila South Harbour, led by BOC Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno.

“More important than the money is the symbolism that if you do something wrong, you will be held accountable, and the country’s money should benefit our countrymen,” he said.

Also present during the inspection were Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) Chairperson Andres Reyes Jr., DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, and newly appointed Finance Secretary Frederick Go.

Reyes described the auction as “justice in practice,” emphasizing the restoration of assets that rightfully belong to the people.
