The truck driver, Bryan Benachay of Barangay Adtuyon, and a 20-year-old passenger, Sayson Alquizar, sustained injuries in the crash.

Initial investigation revealed that the truck, loaded with sugarcane and en route from Maramag to Kalilangan, lost its brakes, causing it to crash into the passenger van and fall off a high bridge.

The truck driver, Benachay, is now detained at the Pangantucan Police Station as authorities prepare the necessary documents for filing charges against him.
